Here Mindy breaks down the different sides of fat because you can’t just call someone “fat.” I’ll try and sum up each:
Chubby: A regular sized person who could lose a few.
Chubster: See Angus T. Jones when he was little on Two and a Half Men.
Fatass: More about the laziness of a person.
Fatso: Mostly from the 70’s, commonly used when a person isn’t even fat.
Obese: Scientific term.
Obeseotron: A fat robot.
Whale: Did you read yesterdays?
Oh Duante Diallo, where you are now? Because then you were tormenting Mindy for being a fat kid. Let’s back up to the beginning thought. Duante moved to Boston to play basketball for Mindy’s school at the start of high school. Even with his duties on the court, he found time to torment Mindy, once referring to her as a whale. To make sure her weight was never the punchline again, Mindy went on a diet and shed 30lbs over the winter break doing nothing but cutting her portions in half and skipping desert. Fast forward to the end and Duante broke his leg, never fully recovered, dropped out and may’ve become a baby daddy. And well Mindy, you can say she’s doing okay for herself.
Bullies are the worst thing you can deal with in school. Imagine having that fear looming over your head each morning as you got ready for school. There isn’t a kid past or present who hasn’t had to deal with a bully in their life. Even bullies get bullied. Don’t think they’re that way for no reason. Maybe their bully is at home. You just never know. Anyways, I did have a bully in elementary school and if I had a yearbook from then, I’d look her up and write to her about the hell she caused me.

Basically Mindy was raised to respect her elders, that’s what her parents believed to be right, so that is what she grew up believing. It wasn’t until later that she figured her parents didn’t expect that sometimes older didn’t necessarily mean wiser, so why treat them any better?
It’s simple in my world; treat others how you’d like to be treated and if someone treats you like shit for no reason, don’t give them a second thought. Every situation is different and there’s no real set rules you can follow on this one; play it by ear.
